If your child is at least 4 years old, they’re the perfect age for our specially designed rock band program!
Your child will be placed in a rock band with up to 4 other children ages 4-7. One of our experienced teachers trained in the KidzRock curriculum will lead the band through weekly 45-minute classes. Your child will learn guitar, keyboard, and drums while belting out rock songs written specifically for their age!

Indian Dance and Storytelling

Indian dance and storytelling will introduce concepts of footwork, hand gestures, and facial expressions. Students will learn a short 2-3 minute piece celebrating the festival of Diwali, which will be showcased at Opus 11 Diwali showcase on November 10, 2024

BollyX

BollyX is a Bollywood-inspired dance-fitness program that combines dynamic choreography with the hottest global music in a 50-minute cardio workout. Inspired by the energy and movement of Bollywood, it’s designed to make fitness accessible, fun, and expressive for everyone.

Mini Musicians

Can’t decide which instrument would be best for your child?
How about… all of them!
In our introductory Mini Musicians class, students rotate through several different instruments: drums, percussion, ukulele, keyboard, and voice. The instruments rotate every four weeks, which coincides wonderfully with young children’s attention spans!

For Children Ages 5-6

  • Thursdays, 4:30pm – 5:10pm

  • Saturdays, 9:30am – 10:10am

  • Maximum of 5 students per class

Rising Voices

Learn breathing, pitch, and rhythm in a small class size for individual attention! Each 35 – 40 minute class will include a warm up, movement, tongue twisters, and age appropriate repertoire from Disney and Musical Theater favorites.

WunderMusic – Preschool

Celebrate your preschooler’s growing independence and love of the outdoors with activities involving the four seasons! Activities include singing, chanting, moving, focused listening, musical games, exploring musical instruments, creative movement and storytelling.

Sing with Soul

Sing with Soul offers small ensemble voice lessons where students learn how to use their voice, develop a healthy vocal technique, and gain a vast repertoire of songs they can perform with others, and as solos!

Yes we can! Opus11 School of Music partners with South Bay Pianos to provide you with the opportunity to rent brand new, high quality Kawai pianos, ranging from space-saving digital pianos to high end grand pianos at an extremely competitive prices to fit both your space and your budget. We can bundle your lessons and instrument rental together so that you’re paying only one fee for your lessons and your instrument! Pianos can be rented for up to one year and the cost of your rental may be applied towards the purchase of the instrument.

Children practice regularly once a routine and habit have been established. To help parents with this effort, we hosted an interview with Bay Area parenting educator and classroom management mentor, Laura Myszne, which is available for you to view right here!

Absolutely! We offer virtual instruction for all instruments and select group classes as well.

Many studies show that public performance helps to boost self esteem and confidence. While performing and speaking in public can be certainly be stressful experiences at first, however the more frequently we do it the better we get. We strongly encourage participation in the recital events to achieve these benefits and to have the opportunity to support fellow Opus11 students.

Absolutely! We want you to have the opportunity to find the instrument you love to play. Because we get to know each student and strive to understand their goals and abilities, we can seamlessly transition a student from one instrument to another.
