Trusted by Silicon Valley's most discerning families.
"From the very first consultation, it was clear this school treats music as an art form, not a checklist. Julie matched our son with the perfect teacher — he adores every lesson."
"Opus11 has been transformative for our daughter. The teacher Julie chose for her is the exact right fit — rigorous, warm, and deeply encouraging."
"The recitals feel like real concerts. My child walks off the stage with more confidence every season."
Questions, considered.
It starts with a free call with Julie, our founder. She listens to your child's goals, personality, learning style, and schedule, then recommends the teacher and program that fit best — so the first lesson already feels right.
Absolutely. Many families come in unsure. Julie will talk through your child's temperament and interests and suggest instruments worth exploring — no pressure, no rush.
We schedule a trial lesson with the recommended instructor at whichever of our locations is most convenient. You'll see the match in action before committing to ongoing lessons.
Yes. Fit matters more than anything, and we'd rather rematch than force a pairing. Just tell Julie, and she'll find a better match.
We welcome students from age four through adulthood. Our early-childhood specialists are trained to introduce music in age-appropriate, joyful ways.
Not at all. Most of our students begin as complete beginners. Each curriculum is tailored to the student's starting point and goals.
Every Opus11 instructor is a graduate of a major conservatory and an active performing musician. We hire for artistry, pedagogy, and warmth in equal measure.
Recitals are encouraged but never mandatory. We offer multiple performance opportunities each year, from intimate recital gatherings to formal concert hall events.
Yes. We run one of the strongest CM programs in the region, and our faculty regularly coach students for state, national, and international competitions.
